NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Amy Baschen broke a scoreless tie to propel the Elmhurst College women's soccer team to a 1-0 road victory at North Central College.

Elmhurst (10-3) picked up its first CCIW win with the victory, improving to 2-1 in league play.

The Bluejays outshot North Central (5-6, 0-3 CCIW) 8-2 in the opening half, but the game remained scoreless at halftime.

Baschen connected on an unassisted goal, her second in as many games, to break the tie in the 56th minute.

The Bluejays outshot the Cardinals 16-6 for the contest.

Maddie Fitzpatrick recorded the shutout in goal for the Bluejays, recording two saves.

Amy Frazzini took the loss in net for the Cardinals, allowing one goal while stopping 12 shots.

Elmhurst travels to Illinois Wesleyan University on Saturday, October 15.
