ELMHURST, Ill. - Kelsey Caldwell and Erin Baschen both netted second half goals to life the Elmhurst College women's soccer team to a 2-1 come-from-behind win over Carthage College.

Elmhurst improved to 6-1-1 overall and 1-0 in the CCIW with the victory.

Carthage (4-3-2, 0-1 CCIW) struck first in the second half when Alyssa Baker's shot was deflected by an Elmhurst player and landed in the back of the net. 

The Lady Reds' lead was short-lived as the Bluejays evened the score less than three minutes later when Caldwell scored in the 56th minute. Sarah Harvey broke past Carthage's defense and fired a pass toward the net. Carthage goalkeeper Kelsey Harrington got on a hand on the centering attempt, but Caldwell pounced on the loose ball and fired it into the back of the net to knot the score at one.

Baschen put the Bluejays in front in the 67th minute when she collected a pass from Amy Baschen and chipped a shot over Harrington into the upper right corner of net.

Allison Korbel recorded five saves in net to post the victory for the Bluejays. 

Elmhurst travels to North Park University on Saturday, October 2.
