ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College women's soccer team slipped to 8-3-1 overall and 2-2 in CCIW play following a 2-0 shutout loss to fourth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University. 

Elmhurst had several scoring chances early but Illinois Wesleyan (15-0, 4-0 CCIW) goal keeper Alli Novak made a point blank save on Elmhurst's Valerie Wesley early in the match to keep the game scoreless.

The Titans' Emily Hinchman gave IWU a 1-0 lead with a goal in the ninth minute. Sixteen minutes later, the Titans made it 2-0 when Hinchman tallied an unassisted score. 

Illinois Wesleyan outshot Elmhurst 13-11 in the contest. 

Allison Korbel recorded five saves in net for the Bluejays while Novak earned the shutout in net by recording seven saves. 

Elmhurst hosts Greenville College at Berens Park on Monday, October 18, at 2:00 p.m.
