HOLLAND, Mich. - Kelsey Caldwell scored a pair of goals to lift the Elmhurst College women's soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Manchester College in the first round of the Hope College Tournament.

Elmhurst (2-0-0) did all of its scoring in the first half to earn the victory. Caldwell put Elmhurst on the board just five minutes into the game, scoring off a Cassie Giese assist.

Caldwell added her second goal in the 24th minute with Erin Baschen tallying an assist.

Manchester cut the Bluejays' lead in half when Laura Jenkins scored off a corner kick in the 33rd minute.

Ellyse Cudone sealed the win for Elmhurst by netting a goal in the 42nd minute. Amy Baschen and Giese collected assists on Cudone's goal.

Allison Korbel earned the win in net, allowing just one goal and recording two saves in 90 minutes.

Elmhurst plays tournament host Hope College on Saturday, September 5.
