ELMHURST, Ill. - Valerie Wesley scored a pair of second-half goals to lift the Elmhurst College women's soccer team to a 3-1 victory over North Park University at Berens Park.

With the victory, the Bluejays improved to 5-1-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the CCIW. North Park slid to 3-3-0 overall and 0-1-0 in league play.

North Park jumped on the scoreboard first as Faith Kakambo tallied a goal off a Sara Hakanson assist in the 12th minute. Elmhurst evened the score in the 34th minute when Courtney Constantino scored off a cross from Kelsey Caldwell.

The Bluejays wasted little time claiming the lead in the second half. Wesley netted an unassisted goal just 1:56 into the final half.

Wesley tacked on an insurance goal in the 64th minute off a Constantino assist.

Jessica Eberle recorded three saves in goal to record the victory for the Bluejays.

Elmhurst hosts Loras College at Langhorst Field on Sunday, September 20, at 12:00 p.m.
