WINNECANNE, Wis. - The Elmhurst College men's cross country scored 760 points to place 24th out of 47 teams at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational.
North Central College totaled 49 points to capture the team title. Washington University (Mo.) finished in second place with 137 points. Wheaton College rounded out the top three with 154 points.
Jake Austin was the top individual runner for the Bluejays. Austin finished the race in a time of 25:53.31, good for a 39th place finish.
Doug Vrchota completed the course in 26:40.9 (126th place) while
David Melone turned in a time of 27:10.84 (183rd place). Will cross finished in 199th place with a time of 27:18.04.
Jeff Camp completed Elmhurst's team score, finishing the race in 259th place in 28:27.8.
Jordan Bartolazzi (337th place in 28:44.57) and
Jake Leinweber (342nd place in 28:48.53) completed the Bluejays' top-seven.
Elmhurst runs at the CCIW Championship on October 29.
