Phil Wojnicz finished his baseball career at Elmhurst College as a four-time all-conference selection, earning second-team honors from 1997-2000. He was an all-region selection in 2000.
In his career, Wojnicz helped rewrite the school’s record book. At the time he set school records for at bats (506), hits (205), runs (136), triples (14) and stolen bases (75). He is one of only two Bluejays to finish their careers with over 200 hits. In addition he ranks high atop the Elmhurst baseball records in extra-base hits (68), total bases (311), career batting average (.369), doubles (33), slugging percentage (.570) and RBI (101).
Wojnicz also excelled in the classroom, earning CoSIDA Academic All-District honors twice and earning Academic All-America honors in 2000.
