A six-time All-American in cross country and track and field, Kathleen Brice closed out her career as the most decorated women’s runner in Elmhurst history.
Brice was a key part of four straight CCIW cross country championship teams, earning all-conference honors all four years and capturing three straight individual championships from 2001-2003.
A three-time all-region honoree in cross country, Brice earned three straight All-America honors in cross country from 2001-2003. She scored a third-place national finish during the 2003 season.
Brice was also a star on the track and field squad, becoming the first woman in Elmhurst history to earn All-America honors in track and field. In total, she earned three All-America honors in track and field. She earned All-America distinction in 2002 and 2003 in the outdoor 5,000 meters, and also earned an All-America honor in the indoor 5,000 meters in 2002. She was the first Elmhurst athlete in school history to earn three All-America honors in one season during the 2002-03 year.
Brice, who also recorded five individual CCIW track and field championships, was named Elmhurst’s Female Athlete of the Year in 2004.
