A two-time All-American and four-time all-conference honoree,
Chris Martin had one of the most distinguished careers in Elmhurst basketball history.
A 2005 graduate of Elmhurst, Martin became a starter for the Bluejays in his freshman season. He became just the second player in Elmhurst history to earn all-conference honors in each of his four seasons and became the first Bluejay in school history to be named a first-team all-conference selection for three consecutive years.
Playing in the highly competitive CCIW, Martin ranked among the top three in scoring and rebounding for three straight years. In 2005, Martin is believed to be the first player in CCIW history to lead the league in scoring, rebounding, and steals. He finished his Elmhurst career ranked second all-time in scoring (1,736 points), fourth in rebounding (825), third in assists (366) and is Elmhurst's career leader in steals with 249. He is the only player in school history to finish his career ranked in the top five in points, rebounds, assists, and steals.
Martin earned D3hoops.com All-America fourth-team honors in 2005 and earned third-team recognition in 2006 after returning for his final year of eligibility.
He spent three years playing professionally overseas and has now returned to Elmhurst as a full-time assistant coach with the men's basketball team.
