A member of the Class of 1992, Charles Woods was a four-time team MVP and three-time all-conference power forward who in 1991-92 led the Bluejays to school-best records of 19-9 overall and 11-5 in the CCIW, and their first NCAA Division III Tournament appearance in men's basketball. He ranks among Elmhurst's career leaders in scoring (1,440 points), rebounding (969), free throws (344) and field goal shooting (55.8 percent). A three-time CCIW Player of the Week honoree, Woods was named All-CCIW first team in 1990-91 and All-CCIW second team in 1989-90 and 1991-92. He led the CCIW in rebounding for three consecutive seasons (1989-90 through 1991-92)- becoming only third (at that time) to accomplish that feat. In 1991-92, Woods was named Male Athlete of the Year at EC.
