Bill Sir spent over 35 years at York High School, serving as an assistant basketball coach. He helped coach at all levels - including freshman, sophomore, junior varsity and varsity. In addition to coaching basketball, Sir also coached the girls' tennis team and has been coaching the boys' tennis team for over 20 years.
A 1960 graduate of York High School, Sir was elected to the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2003.
Sir was a member of both the cross country and men's basketball teams at Elmhurst College and is a regular Elmhurst supporter at Bluejay basketball games.
