An All-American in cross country, Adrien Ricci finished her career as one of the Bluejays' most decorated runners.
Ricci played a big part in helping Elmhurst earn three straight CCIW cross country championships from 2000-2002, earning all-conference honors each season. She finished third in the conference in 2001 and was the conference runner-up in 2002. She earned all-region honors and qualified for nationals during both the 2001 and 2002 seasons. In 2002, she placed 17th at the NCAA Championships to earn her first All-American honor.
Ricci also had success with the track and field team, finishing her career with nine all-conference honors (seven outdoor, two indoor). In 2003, she claimed the CCIW championship in the 10,000 meters, establishing a new Elmhurst record in the process. She also qualified for the NCAA Championships four times in track and field.
A star in the classroom, Ricci was twice named a CoSIDA Academic All-American and was chosen for an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship in 2003. She was also named Elmhurst's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2003.
