ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Elmhurst women's track and field team totaled eight points to place ninth at the 2017 CCIW Track and Field Outdoor Championships.
Alaina Nebel accounted for all eight of the Bluejays' team points by placing second in the 5,000 meters. Nebel earned all-conference honors by crossing the finish line in 18:14.75.
Emma McSpadden placed 14th in the steeplechase with a time of 13:21.01.
Gabrielle Murdoch added a 25th place finish in the 800 meters (2:39.52) while
Liz Delgado placed 27th in 2:47.37.
Hannah Davis placed 28th in the race in 2:47.83
Five Bluejays competed in the 1,500 meters with McSpadded finishing 28th in 5:34.97.
Becky Garcia finished just behind in 29th place (5:39.07) while Murdoch placed 30th (5:40.30).
Liesel Metz finished 31st in 5:51.69 and
Liz Delgado placed 32nd in 5:59.87.
