KENOSHA, Wis. - The Elmhurst men's track and field team totaled 49 points to take home fourth place at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside's Green and White Invitational.

Competing for the first time this season, several Bluejays turned in solid individual performances, in particular in the throws. Elmhurst throwers accounted for 38 of the team's 49 points. 

Ian Perkins totaled 18 points for the Bluejays by winning the weight throw and placing second in the shot put. Perkins won the weight throw with a toss of 10.65 meters. His throw of 12.38 meters in the shot put was good for second place. Perkins' teammate David Michaels took home the individual title in the shot put, winning the event with a throw of 12.45 meters. Ricardo Mora added 10 points for Elmhurst by placing third in the weight throw ( 9.69 meters) and fifth in the shot put (10.62 meters). 

Victor Ogbebor totaled nine points over three events. Ogbebor scored three points by placing sixth in the 55-meter dash by crossing the finish line in 6.81 seconds. Ogbebor added another team point with an eighth-place finish in the 200 meters with a time of 23.93 seconds. His final five points came with a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 5.70 meters. 

Nick Schulburg recorded two team points by placing seventh in the mile run, completing the race in 5:02.20. 

Elmhurst runs at the University of Chicago Invitational on Saturday, February 4.
