WARRENVILLE, Ill. – The Elmhurst women's cross country team totaled 265 points to place eighth out of 20 teams at the College of DuPage Invitational.
 

The University of Illinois-Chicago won the team title with 27 points, edging Wheaton College by just three points. Loyola took home third with 65 points.

Elyse Christofanelli was the Bluejays' top finisher, completing the race in 32nd place with a time of 19:47.57. Charlotte Murphy finished eight places behind in 40th place with a time of 20:01.59.

Christina Rentner scored a 64th place finish in 20:26.67 while Sarah Melone crossed the finish line in 20:36.28, good for 70th place. Loredana Lappano completed the Bluejays' team score by placing 102nd in 21:24.25. Megan Hansen (109th place in 21:34.96) and Lilly Velazquez (117th place in 21:54.62) rounded out Elmhurst's top-seven.

Stephanie Huwe (118th place in 21:58.22), Jenny Walsh (122^nd in 22:04.15) and Hayley Zweig (124th place in 22:11.52) finished Elmhurst's top-10.

Elmhurst runs at the Benedictine University Eagle Invitational on October 10.
