BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - The Elmhurst women's cross country team scored a fifth-place finish at the 2014 Illinois Intercollegiate Invitational hosted by Olivet Nazarene University.

The Bluejays totaled 186 points to place fifth in the team standings. Olivet Nazarene won the team title with 48 points, edging North Central by just one point for the title. Judson finished third (70) while Trinity Christian finished fourth (100).

Elyse Christofanelli was the first Bluejay to cross the finish line, placing 22nd with a time of 19:37.2. Sarah Melone placed 39th in 20:27.1 while Charlotte Murphy finished just behind in 46th place (20:33.6). Christina Rentner added a 48th place finish in 20:45.4 while Hayley Zweig completed the course in 59th place ,with a time of 21:00.6

Lily Velazquez (71st place in 21:37.4) and Megan Hansen (73rd place in 21:47.0) completed the Bluejays' top-seven runners.
