RESULTS
ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst women's cross country team totaled 133 points to place fourth of 11 squads at the 2014 Elmhurst Earlybird Invitational.
The University of Chicago won the team title with 28 points while Aurora University placed second with 45. Judson University totaled 96 points to place third.
Caitlin O'Mara was the top finisher for the Bluejays, breaking the finish line in 15:55.7, good for 11th place.
Elyse Christofanelli completed the course in 21st place with a time of 16:24.2.
Charlotte Murphy placed 39th in 17:15.9 while Sara Melone finished just three spots behind in 42nd place with a time of 17:23.9. Christina Renter rounded out the Bluejays' team score in 45th place in 17:28.4.
Megan Hansen (58th place in 18:05.6 and
Hayley Zweig (61st place in 18:10.) completed the Bluejays' top seven.
Stephanie Huwe (62nd place in 18:11.7),
Jenny Walsh (67th place in 18:28.6) and
Riley Seiler (72nd place in 18:45.1) made up the rest of the Elmhurst top-10.
The Bluejays are scheduled to run at the Illinois Intercollegiate Invitational on September 12.
