DECATUR, Ill. – The Elmhurst women's cross country team totaled 160 points to place fifth at the 2014 CCIW Championships hosted by Millikin University.

Charlotte MurphyNorth Central won the team title with 26 points, edging Wheaton by 10 points for the league's top spot. Illinois Wesleyan finished third (73) and Augustana placed fourth (98). Carthage (170), Millikin (190) and North Park (198) rounded out the bottom three finishes in the league.
Charlotte Murphy was the top finisher for the Bluejays, crossing the finish line in 23rd place with a time of 23:31.51.
Sarah Melone added a 25th place finish in 23:35.48 while
Elyse Christofanelli placed 29th with a time of 23:42.97.
Christina Rentner completed the course in 40th place in 24:09.47.
Loredana Lappano rounded out the Bluejays' team score with a 56th place finish in 24:54.45.

Stephanie Huwe (57th place in 24:54.78) andÂ
Hayley Zweig (61st place in 25:10.48) rounded out the Bluejays' top-seven.
Lily Velazquez (66th place in 26:05.21),
Megan Hansen (67th place in 26:05.21) and
Riley Seiler (68th place in 26:16.42) accounted for the remainder of Elmhurst's top-10.
